Gall Bladder Disease Causes Lower Back Pain

Gall bladder disease occurs when the bile contains too much cholesterol. The excess cholesterol binds with bile salts and calcium to form crystals or hard stones, known as gall stones. The presence of these gall stones is the cause of some of the more painful symptoms of gall bladder disease, such as gall bladder back pain.

Having personal experience with this, I have to tell you, a gall bladder attack is extremely painful. It feels like the muscles of your back and stomach are in spasm, like you have a charley-horse that lasts for hours. But it’s not the same for everyone. So if you think this could be your problem, check with your doctor. Take note of when the pain occurs relative to when you eat and how long it lasts. This information could help determine the cause.
