the first thing we need to do is It interrupt the normal pattern of reading a blog post or what you'd expect. Thus, you're more likely to continue reading.I honestly love this technique, and I think it works well, when it comes to stopping the scroll. It's basically about putting two opposite words together (therefore breaking, or shaking the belief patterns of the reader), like: become a lazy CEO for massive success.

That's an example of being both polarising (and irritating), because of the popular belief, that you need to hustle 24/7 to get ahead. It is also intriguing enough to check out, as..we'll.. who wouldn't want to be lazy AND successful, right?

2. Let yourself be GUIDED by other people's success. We've all heard of modelling what is being done by other successful people, and I agree, it's an awesome way to speed up the process.

But where it's pointed out that this guidance is a valuable way of paving you're own path, it's also important to avoid the trap of modelling others too directly.

I am obsessed about this subject, and I actually decided to record a whole training on the 3 biggest mistakes people make with modelling, that might be having an adverse effect on their business results.

"Hook Point" works around the idea of what to pay attention to when modelling, and many times reiterates to model, not steal other people's ideas.

3. Use visual storytelling and weave your hooks into your stories.

That means a hook doesn't always need to be a headline, or posted as the first sentence of your copy, it might be weaved into the visuals of your ad, or post (like an unexpected placement of your product in a strange environment), or within your story, which makes it less obvious and is communicated straight to the subconscious mind of the reader.

4. The importance of listening and reiterating what worked in the past.
