(The customer Avatar) 


A customer avatar (sometimes referred to as a buyer persona, marketing persona, or customer profile) is a representation of your ideal customer—the type of person you want to purchase your products or services.

Let's say your product is just right for a new mom. 

The more you know about new moms in general the better you will be at marketing to them. 

This way you can talk their language, keep them in mind when you write an article, share content that will engage them and sell them products they need and want. 

You will know where to find them online, join their groups in conversation and maybe even grow your own following. 

You may have heard, “the money is in the list” but that is not exactly true. The money is actually in the relationship you have with your list your Facebook friends and followers.

They say birds of a feather flock together and they are right. They do that because they eat the same food, they keep the same hours and like the same things.

In human nature, we tend to do the same thing.


So What should be included in a customer avatar?

Give your dream avatar a name so you can hold her image in your mind when you create content, ads, and posts. 
Remember, this is your dream customer so get as creative as you can. Do this as if you know her, like her, and want the best for her. 

Her Age: Once again you are making up a character. Imagine an age.  
 

Location: Where she lives may have an impact on the language she speaks and a whole lot of other things. 
 

Hobbies: depending on the product or service you are selling this could help target your market. 

Job title: Mother of two/self-employed, you may have to make something up. 

Income: You may want to include this as “disposable income” or “desired income”
 

Purchasing habits: Does she shops online, look for bargains, checks reviews, buy for the family's needs?
Goals or motivations: Raise healthy happy kids, keep husband happy, earn a work-from-home income.
 

Challenges or pain points, no time for herself, needs to earn a few hundred a month, craves adventure as well as job satisfaction and recognition. 

 

She needs to feel connected to a tribe that sees the world as she does. 

The more you help her meet her needs the more she will help you meet yours.
