I am Jennifer Abercrombie, owner and lead hair & makeup artist.
People often ask how long I've been doing this and although the technical answer is over 7 years, what I really want to say is for as long as I can remember. My earliest childhood memories are of me loving all things hair & makeup. Whether I was braiding a dolls hair, digging through my mom's makeup or playing dress up with friends, I loved anything and everything that had to do with beauty. Throughout the years I "played" hair & makeup artist for friends and family. But it wasn't until August 2013, when I was given the opportunity to be the hair & makeup artist for my first wedding, that everything changed. I left that day feeling more confident than ever that this was what I was destined for. Southern Weddings featured the wedding, which meant my name was officially 'on the board' in the wedding industry. It was just the kickstart I needed to take a leap of faith and finally pursue my dream.
