Antjuan Cox is a incarcerated Native of Oakland , Ca., currently serving a 25 year determinant sentence for crimes committed while under the influence of drugs. Raised in Berkeley, Ca by his father Stanley P. Cox Sr. And his paternal grandmother Frankie C. Griffin. Antjuan began displaying behavioral problems at a young age as a result of being picked on for having an abnormally flat nose stemming from being dropped on his face as a infant. Those behavioral issues ultimatelyset Antjuan on a path of destruction that lasted overthree decades.
After suffering severe depression and suicidal thoughts in the beginning of his lengthy prisn sentence, Antjuan immersed himself in the freedom of escaping the harsh realities of his life through education and books. He quickly learned the power of change through books which ignited his desire to actively combat the destructive behavioral cycle that's plaguing today's Youth.
Saving the Youth from the clutches of Gangs, Drugs, and Criminal activity, is Antjuan's foremost concern, because as a formar child that grew up in the mean streets of Oakland during the Dope Era, he identifies with the mindset of the Youth. His need to save the Youth from the confines of a prison cell pushed him to writing and publishing his first book titled "The Truth" in 2018. Since then, Antjuan has followed up with three more self published books titled 'Dejaview" " Convicted Redemption " & "Dejaview (Obama Edition). In conjunction with the four books already published, Antjuan is currently working on two new books that will be released soon.
Antjuan's journey for Redemption, Forgiveness, and Social Reconciliation has transformed him into a man that many aspire to become. His four self published books within three years alone is testament of the man that he has become. His goals include creating a Charter School for the forgotten class of people, that will equip them with the necessary tools to succeed in a world ran by technology advancements. Also a Children's Series that will be reflective of African American culture to promote self love to a people of color hpthats highly underrepresented in the world of animation, illustration, and children book characters.
