- Tibialis Anterior: front of the lower leg, across the ankle, top of the foot
- Extensor Digitorum Longus: front of the lower leg, top of the foot, toes
- Extensor Hallucis Longus: front of the lower leg, big toe

Pain Referred to the Posterior Lower Leg
- Gastrocnemius: back of the lower leg, calf, knee, bottom of the foot
- Soleus: back of the lower leg, heel, bottom of the foot
- Plantaris: back of the lower leg, heel

Pain Referred to the Lateral Lower Leg
- Peroneus Longus: side of the lower leg, ankle, top of the foot
- Peroneus Brevis: side of the lower leg, ankle, top of the foot

Pain Referred to the Medial Lower Leg
- Tibialis Posterior: inner ankle, arch of the foot
- Flexor Digitorum Longus: inner ankle, bottom of the foot, toes
- Flexor Hallucis Longus: inner ankle, bottom of the foot, big toe

- Gastrocnemius: back of the ankle, heel, bottom of the foot
- Soleus: back of the ankle, heel, bottom of the foot
