MIGRAINE HEADACHES

More common among females.

 

Migraine headaches may take many forms,  are debilitating, and produce a throbbing pain on one side of the head.

 

• Symptoms of migraine headaches include


- sound and light sensitivity
- nausea
- vomiting and,
- irritability

 

Often preceded by an aura phase (typically involving visual disturbances).

 

Migraines may last for several days.

 

Most commonly triggered by stress, other known triggers include certain foods (such as caffeine), intense odors, hormonal changes, exercise, oversleeping, and anxiety.
