Meet the Owner

One of the questions that has been asked the most is “Who is the owner”? Well, let us introduce him! Many of you may already know Steven as the former owner of Take Me Back Cafe in Paris or have seen him around Carroll County where he works for the Sheriff's Office. Steven has a passion for business and customer service and is very happy to have a business in the town he calls home. He always says that he wants every customer to leave his business happy! You will see Steven and his better half, Amber at the cafe quite a bit… whether they are helping in the kitchen, running the cash register, or just checking in on customers.

Meet the Chef

Meet our cook and manager, Joey! When we decided to open Sunrise Cafe, Joey was the first person we had in mind and we knew that we couldn’t do it without him. You will not find a more dedicated and hard-working man than this one right here!

Joey is no stranger to the kitchen — he’s been at it for more than 25 years, both as a cook and manager. But it’s not just a job for him; it’s a passion. His favorite part? Making customers happy! You won’t find many cooks that venture out to the dining area to ask customers how their meal was but he does just that every chance he gets. He brings a lot of heart, a ton of experience, and a genuine love for making folks smile here at Sunrise Cafe!

We included photos of Joey’s beautiful family including his son Jaylen who passed away two years ago. He has had many challenges but through it all, he shows an amazing example of strength. We love you Joey and we are so proud to have you on our team!
