One thing I know for sure, life is dynamic. My journey started in healthcare, moved right into education when the call to teach and provide intervention became integral parts of helping students with very specialized, specific needs. Without hesitation, Special Education infused right into the veins of social services to touch lives of the underrepresented population, diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy and a matter considered as “Fifth Category.” Cancer hit the core of my heartstrings when my beloved mother suffered the pain and emblem of the debilitating curse. I endured with her all throughout her treatment, doctors' visits, multiple hospitalizations until she succumbed to her last and final breath. The devastation was immense and seemed dark and dreary to the very core of my heart and soul. Then I looked up to the skies and see the mechanical birds. In the blink of more than 9 weeks of training, in separate motions, I earned my wings to “Fly the Friendly Skies!” Or so I thought? Hence, it's a journey over hills, valleys, dark and sunny skies, at times overbearing clouds hovering my wings of flight. Where to? Next? God calms my soul. Heals my heart. I listen to His “still quiet voice,” hearkening inside my head. Awaiting for a higher calling. After the healing, comes another one. This time around, the road ahead seems uncertain, full of possibilities, yet I feel very small of the vastness of it all!
