How We Respond to Emergencies

 

The past few months have been extremely challenging for our city and staff. During a crisis, the Joint Information Center (JIC) strives to share accurate information as quickly as possible.

 

 In fast-moving situations, the City often needs to communicate immediately to show we are responding and to prevent misinformation. During that time, information may be shared publicly before an all-staff email can be sent.

 

 

City staff are a key audience. When possible and appropriate, we send an all-staff email and post updates internally. However, during emergencies, the fastest updates are sent through external channels intended for residents, community members, and City employees.
