The Joint Information Center (JIC)

The Joint Information Center (JIC) is the central point of coordination for all public information during a major incident or emergency. 

The JIC is responsible for:

• Gathering and verifying information from multiple sources.
• Developing and disseminating consistent, accurate, and timely information to the public and media.
• Coordinating with all City departments and partner agencies to ensure a unified message.
